Guitar lessons...
Hey y'all, I just wanted to share the music program we are using for homeschool. Levels for Guitar is awesome for anyone who wants to learn guitar. There is beginner and intermediate lessons. It teaches sight reading, music theory, chords, strumming, finger picking, scales, and much more. There are about 100 lessons in the beginner course. The videos are excellent quality. The price is pretty good as well beginner is $8 a month and intermediate is $9 a month both with 24/7 access. You can't get private sessions for that! Cadence and Kord are enjoying them and learning so much. I highly recommend them! Oh and bonus their customer service is great! Double bonus you can try them out for free! Go check them out!
I have received this product for free for an honest review.

I fell in love....
It was a beautiful day, the sun was shining, the weather was amazing for January. We were cooking out with the windows in the house wide open, which should give you an idea of how nice the weather was. We were sitting around visiting with friends when someone suggested a book that I should read. Being a VERY reluctant reader I didn't believe that it could be that good, so she let me borrow the book and I was unable to put it down! Monday, January 19th, 2015 is when I fell in love with reading! I have been reading everyday since.
My reading goal for the year was 20 books. I reached that goal so I decided to shoot for more and bumped it up to 50. I probably hadn't read 20 books in my entire life! I had always hated reading, and found myself falling asleep most times. I would read the same page a billion times and still couldn't tell what I had read. So I am very shocked and proud of myself for becoming a reader! Now I have decided to start posting my reviews on the books I've read. I will not be going into to much detail for now but in the future I plan to have more in depth reviews.
The first book I read which is the one that made me fall in love with reading was Marked by P.C. & Kristin Cast. The authors being from Tulsa, Ok and basing the book in and around Tulsa giving me details I myself could recall making the whole book series House of Night, (Marked being the 1st of the P.C. & Kristin Cast series) the series that captivated my attention. I'd give this book 5/5 🌟 and it gets my Bombshell approved stamp!
#2 Betrayed by P.C & Kristin Cast 5/5🌟
#3 Chosen by P.C & Kristin Cast 4/5🌟
#4 Untamed by P.C & Kristin Cast 4/5🌟
#5 Hunted by P.C & Kristin Cast 5/5🌟
#6 Tempted by P.C & Kristin Cast 4/5🌟
I had to take a break from House of Night while waiting on the library to order the others.
#7 The Fault in Our Stars by John Green 3/5🌟 I loved the movie! But to me the book was slow. It was still a good read but I won't re-read it. There are a lot in the reading community that love this book. I just couldn't get into it.
#8 Burned by P.C & Kristin Cast 3/5🌟
#9 Awakened P.C & Kristin Cast 3/5🌟
Again took a break to wait!
#10 Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L. James 4/5🌟
#11 Fifty Shades Darker by E.L. James 4/5🌟
#12 Fifty Shades Freed by E.L. James 4/5🌟
Loved this trilogy! Definitely give it a recommend!
#13 Destined by P.C & Kristin Cast 4/5🌟
#14 Fallen by Lauren Kate 3/5🌟 there is a few more in the series that I haven't had a chance to read yet.
#15 A Shade of Vampire by Bella Forrest 4/5🌟 this is a big series I've read 3 books so far I've been told they get better so I'm holding out hope!
#16 That Night With My Best Friend's Brother by J.S. Cooper
#17 Falling For My Best Friend's Brother by J.S. Cooper 3/5🌟 these 2 go together so I rated them
together.
together.
#18 Fancy White Trash by Marjetta Geerling 4/5🌟 My daughter found this one for me at the library after reading the 1st page I had to read it! This book is hilarious! I read some to my husband who also found it hilarious! I definitely recommend giving this one a read!
#19 Where The Stars Still Shine by Trish Doller 5/5🌟 this one gets the Bombshell stamp of approval! Highly recommend that you give this book a read! I read it in one night, I couldn't put it down!
#20 A Shade Of Blood (Book 2 in A Shade of Vampire series) by Bella Forrest 4/5🌟
#21 A Castle of Sand (Book 3 in A Shade of Vampire series) by Bella Forrest 4/5🌟
Finally back to House of Night Series! I got tired of waiting on the 10th book to come from the library so I read the cliff notes from other bloggers and found out there wasn't much to miss so I moved on.
#22 Revealed by P.C. & Kristin Cast (#11 of the HON series) 3/5🌟
#23 Redeemed by P.C. & Kristin Cast 3/5🌟 I couldn't be happier to be finished with this series! I loved it as a whole but after a book 6 it slowed down and dragged out with the exception of book 9. I was ready for it to end! I would still recommend the series because I thought it was good overall. Every book still had a good climax and cliff hangers wanting you to still know what happens next.
I hope this helps some of y'all reluctant readers find your next book to fall in love with!
Blessings,
Ashley

What's going on...
Hey y'all, I was just wanting to give everyone a little update about what's been going on and some future events y'all need to be ready for.
So recently I have been reading a lot. So far I have read 23/50 books this year. I'm on goodreads.com @morganajck. I love this app so much it gives you recommendations and you can read reviews of all the books you are interested in. You can keep list of books you are wanting to read. I have like 200 books in my "want to read" shelf. If your not on it y'all definitely need to check it.
I have so found my inner bombshell. I love pinup, rockabilly, retro, vintage, just all things amazing! I've been dying my hair pink, purple, and blue. It's been awesome! I am still doing nopoo and my hair has grown so much. If your not already following me check me out on Instagram @not_your_ordinary_bombshell. I am all the time posting pics of my hair, makeup, food, and books.
Kids are still growing like weeds. We are still homeschooling. They are working towards going back to school probably next year.
So future events.....I am going to start posting a lot more with reviews on books and products. So stay tuned and subscribe so you never miss a post! Tomorrow I will be posting reviews on the books I've read so far.
If there is anything you'll would like to see let me know and I'll try my best to get a post up. Don't forget to friend me on Facebook. Follow me on Instagram and goodreads.

The Happenings
Well its been a little bit since I've posted! Sorry 'bout that, I've been trying to think of just what to say exactly and truthfully I was being lazy. Well I decided to just write whats going on around here.
Well as most of y'all who know us we homeschool. We have been schooling at home through a public school option school, which, I totally back and think they are wonderful options! We had been doing it for a year and a half and we were just kinda done with it. I had been reading more into learning styles and a light bulb went off, now I know why it seemed like my kids were not going anywhere! I have been doing lots of research and lots of reading into curriculums. After MANY nights of almost no sleep and worrying, I've decided we are going to be eclectic homeschoolers! Which means a little bit of everything. I have also stumbled on a wonderful learning tool called "Lap books." The kids love them, we made one for Presidents Day and they were floored! They wanted to do more, so I went looking around for more ideas. Guess what I stumbled on.... a multiplication one!!! So thats what we are working on now.
So what are we learning this week???? Well here's the run down.
Math- Multiplication: what is means (repeated addition, groups, arrays) and 1's-5's
Geography- States: Delaware
History- Ancient Egypt
English- We are cruising thru Shurley English level 1
Science- Life Science: Basic Needs/Resources from www.eequalsmcq.com.
Reading- Haven't started it yet but we will be reading "Robinson Crusoe"
Spelling and Vocab- whatever level they are on in their workbook
Art, Music: We are doing thru http://allinonehomeschool.com
We are also learning ASL (American Sign Language)
Whew... Seems like a lot but we are having so much fun! We do History and Science every other day but Friday, which is our Fun Friday and our test day. Art, Music, and ASL we do about once a week. I will be posting some tips and great websites and blogs that have helped me out so much!
In other news, Jeremy started his 3rd 8 weeks of college! For those that don't know he is going to OSU-IT for culinary! Last 8 weeks he did very good, and is now in Skills 2, Wine Tasting, and Speech! Our dinners went up a notch last 8 weeks, so I can't wait to see where they go now!
As for myself, not much to blog about, yeah I'm kinda boring! :) But I started the "nopoo" shampoo method today. My hair was SUPER oily and it feels very clean and soft!! I am also getting on the Filofax and Project life ban wagon. Although my Filofax will be a faux fax! :) But it still works the same! :)
Here is a few pics from the adventures from today! Along with links from where I got them or the ideas from.

Here's a pic of Day 1 of "nopoo"! All natural #nofilter!
Dinner recently that Jeremy cooked up! Yummm yumm good!!!!
BBQ Burbon glazed steak and mushroom risotto. We also tried a VERY tasty 2011 Ca'Momi Merlot. We will be getting it again!!
I think that is about it! I will try to take pics of our school area which is also our living room! We revamped it this weekend, so I can't wait to show it off!!

Just thought I'd start...A little about us.
So I have been feeling for a little while that I needed to start a blog about our lives so here it goes. Hi, we are the Morgan's...Jeremy (Hubby) 31, Ashley (Me) almost 30 :(, we have been married for 10 years. How we met is a long story and totally worth a post all by its self. Together we have Cadence (Princess) 9, and Kord (Bubba) 8. We live in a small town in Oklahoma. As a family we love music. We love to play it, sing it, and dance to it! We love Jesus and try to serve him to the best of our abilities everyday. We love movies, there will be lots of movie reviews as well. We also love to try out new restaurants. I'm sure I'll throw in a few foodie reviews from time to time.
Hubby is currently going to college with a lot of prayer and pushing from me he finally took the leap and is going to OSU-IT to become a chef! So I am sure there will be lost of food pictures and recipes to go along with them! He loves and enjoys cooking but most of all he loves to bake! He is the back bone of our family, without him I feel absolutely lost!
Me...Well hum what can I say... I have been a stay at home mom for 10 years. I started homeschooling my kids 2 years ago. I was tired of the way the school was treating them and how much they weren't learning. I also wanted to be able to teach them in a better environment, where we could pray together, and talk about God without having to compromise. It has been the best decision I have ever made! We started out using the K12 curriculum and after 1 year of that mess we knew we needed a change! So now we are using Epic One on One which is an online charter school. And while its a great school and we have really enjoyed having a teacher I think my feet are wet enough to drive into traditional homeschooling. They kids are tired of being tied to a computer. Pray for us as we start a new journey!
Now on the to the 2 lights of my life...
Princess well she is just that a princess! She is very independent, with a wonderful corky side of her that has just recently started to blossom. She is defiantly a tween! She may only be 9 but she is very mature. She has an attitude (not one that's bad) that matches so sometimes I think she's a little teenager! She loves fashion, art, she loves to color and create all the time! She loves to dance an sing, and just like most girls her age she aspires to be a singer!
Now on to my baby, Bubba he is ALL boy! He loves to play outside, get as dirty as he can, and bug the fire out of his sister! He is following in his daddy's footsteps and loves music, and is learning to play the drums and the guitar. He is as tough as nails but a softy at heart. He is always lending a helping hand to people, most of the time without having to be told or asked, he truly has a servant's heart. He is a mommas boy (not in a bad way), always knows just the right moment when momma needs a hug or a snuggle.
Well I guess that just about wraps us up in a nut shell. You will learn more about us over time and I hope to be able to bless y'all in some way down the road. I hope you come back and read more as I will try to post everyday.
God Bless,
Ashley
